I created science comics and wrote about Thomas's 2018 Antarctic fishing trip in search of icefish, and included his work in Antarctica: The Melting Continent.

Peter Girguis
This Harvard researcher served as chief scientist aboard my E/V Nautilus expedition. Pete and I worked together on telepresence. One night he told me about his elementary school experiences, and inspired my new project I Was A Kid.

Paty Matrai and Pete Countway
I joined this team from the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences on a two-month visit to Palmer Station, Antarctica. This experience -- funded by the National Science Foundation's Antarctic Artists and Writers program -- inspired my comic #AntarcticLog
and my award-winning book Antarctica: The Melting Continent.

Aboard R/V Atlantis...again!
On my third trip with Atlantis and DSV Alvin, I created trading cards of many of the participants in the Alvin Science Verification Expedition for the I Was A Kid project. See them here.

Aboard E/V Nautilus
This comic about two of the high school students, who launched a buoy in the Windward Passage between Haiti and Cuba, was published in Muse magazine as "Two Girls and a Buoy."

Third Pod from the Sun
I created podcast cover images and comics with pull-out quotes for the American Geophysical Union's collaboration with NASA, featuring shark scientist Jaida Elcock and many more.

Science Friday Education
I did cheese process illustrations for the education branch of this renowned science radio show, which airs on National Public Radio.

Kraft Telerobotics
I even designed a t-shirt for the company that makes the robotic arms submersibles like Hercules, shown here, use in deep sea science research.
